Thank You Cards

Acknowledgement cards — thank you cards, funeral acknowledgement cards or sympathy thank you cards — are sent by the family in the weeks after a funeral to everyone who called, sent Mass cards or flowers, travelled, or quietly helped.
Every card is designed by our own team here in Gorey, Co. Wexford, using your own photographs and your own choice of words. Design, proof revisions, envelopes and VAT are all included in the price — nothing is templated and sent out unseen.
The card carries a short line of thanks from the family, the name of your loved one and the date, and usually the same photograph and artwork as the memorial card so the two belong together. If you are not sure what to write, our acknowledgement wording examples give you a starting point.

- Who should get an acknowledgement card?
- The households who sent a Mass card, sympathy card or flowers, anyone who travelled a distance, the neighbours who helped, and often the funeral director, the priest and the hospital or nursing home staff. Counting households rather than people keeps the number sensible.
- Can the thank you card match the memorial card?
- Yes. We keep your artwork on file, so the acknowledgement card can carry the same photograph, verse style and border, even months later.
- What are funeral acknowledgement cards?
- They are personalised thank you cards sent to everyone who offered sympathy, attended the funeral or sent flowers and Mass cards.
- How much do thank you cards cost?
- Thank you cards start at €45 for 15 cards and go to €215 for 400 cards, with envelopes included.
- What should a funeral thank you card say?
- A short line of thanks from the family, the name of your loved one and the date. We can help you word it, or you can choose a short verse from our verses library.
- How long after the funeral should I send them?
- Most families send acknowledgement cards within a few weeks. There is no set time, and we can print whenever you are ready.
