The name many families and parishes still use for the small card carrying a prayer, a photograph and the details of the deceased. In practice it is very close to a memorial card, and often the two words are used for the same thing.
Memorial card

- What is a mortuary card?
- It is the small keepsake card given out after a death, carrying the person's photograph, their name and dates, and a prayer or verse. Around the country you will hear it called a mortuary card, a memorial card or a memoriam card, and in most cases people mean the same thing.
- Do you print mortuary cards?

- What is the difference between a mortuary card and a memorial card?
