When the Month's Mind falls
The Month's Mind Mass is usually offered around one calendar month after the death, though the exact date is arranged with the parish and can move a few days either way to suit the family and the priest.
Why families order now, not at the funeral
Many families are too taken up in the days after a death to think about a card, or simply prefer to wait. Ordering for the Month's Mind gives a little more time to choose a photograph and settle on wording, without the pressure of the funeral week.
What usually goes on the card
The same layout as a funeral memorial card — photograph, full name, dates of birth and death, and a verse — sometimes with a line noting the Month's Mind Mass itself, such as the date and church, if the family would like it included.
What to send us
A clear photograph, the full name and dates, and any verse you have in mind — or ask us for suggestions. If the Month's Mind Mass has a fixed date, church and time, let us know whether you would like these printed on the card. We will send a proof for you to check before anything is printed.

- What is a Month's Mind Mass?
- It is a Mass offered for someone who has died, usually about a month after the funeral. Practice varies from parish to parish, so it is worth checking the date with the priest or parish office before you finalise your card.
- Can I still order a memorial card if we didn't order one for the funeral?
- Yes. Plenty of families order their first memorial card for the Month's Mind rather than the funeral itself. We only need a photograph and the wording — there is no requirement to have ordered before.
- How long does printing take?
- Once you approve the proof we email you, cards are printed and posted within 2–3 business days. If your Month's Mind Mass is coming up soon, get in touch and we will do our best to work to your date.
- Should the card mention the Month's Mind Mass?
- That is entirely up to the family. Some cards simply carry the usual details and verse; others add a short line naming the Mass, date and church. Either is common, and we can show you both on the proof.
- Can you use the same design as our funeral card?
- Yes, we hold artwork on file, so if you ordered a funeral memorial card from us we can reprint it as is, or adjust the wording for the Month's Mind while keeping the same border and photograph.
