RIP Memorial Cards – A Lasting Tribute To Your Loved One

Which one do I need?

Memorial Card or Mass Card?

The two are often confused, but they serve different purposes and come from different people. Here's the difference, plain and simple.

At a glance

Memorial card vs Mass card

Both mark a death with care, but who gives them — and how they're priced — differs.

Why the pricing is different

Folding memorial cards, bookmarks, wallet cards and thank you cards are standard sizes we print every day, so we can offer a fixed price list by quantity. Mass cards, Mass booklets and mortuary cards vary far more in wording, layout and quantity, so we quote each one individually rather than guess at a price that might not suit the job.

Either way, we send a proof by email before anything goes to print, and artwork is kept on file if you need more copies later. Ring us on 053 94 22900 with what you have in mind.

Questions about memorial cards and Mass cards

Is a Mass card the same as a memorial card?
No. A memorial card is a keepsake made by the bereaved family, carrying a photograph, name, dates and a verse. A Mass card is given to the family by someone offering sympathy, noting that a Mass will be said for the deceased.
Can I buy a memorial card from your shop?
Yes. Folding memorial cards, bookmarks, wallet cards and thank you cards are all on our shop at fixed prices by quantity — see our price list.
Do you print Mass cards?
Yes, but Mass cards, Mass booklets and mortuary cards are quoted individually rather than sold at a fixed price, because wording, size and quantity vary so much from job to job. See our Mass cards page or ring 053 94 22900 and we'll price it for you.
Can a Mass card have a photograph on it?
Yes, if that's what's wanted, though plenty are text only. Tell us what you have in mind when you enquire and we'll advise honestly on how it will look.
Which one do I need for a funeral?
If you're the bereaved family arranging a keepsake to give out, that's a memorial card. If you're a mourner wishing to mark the death with a Mass offering, that's a Mass card.
How quickly can memorial cards be printed?
Printed and posted within 2–3 business days of you approving the proof. Mass card timelines are confirmed along with the quote, since each job is different.
